In case you haven’t picked up on it—I’m not married. “Single as a pringle,” as some might say. (Wait, maybe it’s just me that says that.)

Why? How? Is that right or wrong? How can we continue to trust God during a season of singleness?

The first thing I want you to know is this: you are a unique creation of God. There has never been, and never will be, another you. We are called to be faithful to Christ in whatever life stage we’re in—married or single.

Being single doesn’t mean you’re “unmarried” in the sense of being incomplete. A single life can be full, faithful, and deeply meaningful.

So, as we enter this Easter weekend, pause and remember the cross. Remember that Jesus didn’t wait for an apology. He didn’t wait for the crowd to change their minds. He chose mercy, and because of that, we have life.

God's design is perfect, and it remains unchanging and purposeful. Today we’ll dive into what God’s design is for men and women serving in the church. He created us all to complement each other in the home, church, and ministry.

Instead of trying to cram God into a world shaped box, remember Him in everything we do! In our words and actions at work, home, church. It’s easier said than done, but when our actions are for God solely, we don’t risk accidentally creating idols. We don’t risk allowing our hearts to honor others over God.

This isn’t easy! It’s a conscious effort. Something we have to think about constantly throughout the day. But, with steps one through three, it becomes a little easier.

And this is how we prioritize God!

When we prioritize God as our foundation, we agree to build our lives on Him. We trust that He will provide, guide, and sustain us. Not our own actions. Not the actions of the people around us.

We are no longer driven by worry or fear, but instead by our faith in Him and confidence in His plan. As our world seems to get crazier by the second, isn’t this a beautiful gift?

When God is our foundation, our work, relationships, and daily activities become infused with His presence and purpose. We are no longer trying to balance life’s demands while keeping God at the top; instead, we are building everything on Him, knowing that He is our strength, our wisdom, and our source of life.

So, instead of asking, “Is God at the top of my priority list?” ask, “Is my life built upon Him?” Because when God is our foundation, everything else falls into its rightful place. It’s almost like that’s His intention for us (insert winky face).

The book of Revelation…. to some it’s scary, to some it’s a cause for alarm, and to some it’s simply another reason to praise God! Let’s dig in unveil the challenging book of Revelation.

At the end of the day, being “in Christ” simply means being a follower of Him—belonging to Him, walking with Him, and trusting in His promises. If you are in Christ, you are new. You are forgiven. You are secure in Him. Let this truth encourage and strengthen you today!

You are not who you were. You are His.

He cares about us, and wants to hold the burden of the anxieties and fears that we have. Just like with the Holy Spirit mentioned above, He wants to walk alongside us through it all.

Anxiety is a horrible feeling in the moment and even for a while after, but God wants to be there with us through it. He wants to cleanse us of it, and give us peace. 

Prayer is always the first step amid anxiety, but maybe one of these verses will be something you can cling to as you find your footing during a moment of fear. I hope they serve you as reminders of how incredible our God is even in crazy situations!

Negative thoughts are going to follow us everywhere we go. From getting cut off in traffic, to wondering if those things we heard about ourselves are true, it’s easy to get bogged down in the bad feelings. But, as long as we don’t camp out there, we can get through it! We can rely on God and the truths we know through Him!

Now, why does it matter that Jesus can do miracles? Why does this matter in the grand scheme of His ministry?

Simple: who else can do miracles? This shows us again, the God side of Him. We can’t turn water into wine or feed 5,000 with little materials, but Jesus can. This sets Him apart for the World to see.

Let’s talk about them!

As you spend this holiday however you do, remember this: you are loved more than you could ever imagine, and nothing you do will make that untrue. Keep that in mind, and praise Him for it!

A word of caution to summarize this entire post: don’t be so focused on God working the way you want Him to, that you miss the incredible things He’s doing in your circumstances as it is. My baby isn’t exactly how I wanted her to be, but I couldn’t imagine her any different now. And while I would still take this from her in a heartbeat, I know that God will do miraculous things through this circumstance. Do you?

So, let’s talk about this. Sometimes circumstances seem so much bigger than they are, right? In the moment, it’s overwhelming, and catching a breath seems impossible. 

In hindsight, maybe they don’t seem so big after the fact, but by golly in the moment? It seems bigger than what’s handleable.

We agree on the main points of the Gospel and that is more than enough. Today’s post is more to encourage you to care about politics and how to approach them from a (very basic) Christian manner. Now, with that being said, I am opinionated and do enjoy talking about politics in safe environments, so if that is what you’d like to do- let’s have ice cream one day and talk!

Self-Control is used for so many things. Food, habits, fighting against sin, and a plethora of other things, and we, as christians, are promised a helper when it comes to self-control.

I chose ESV for this because it says self-control explicitly, but CSB says “sound judgment” instead, and I love both! We live in a world where self-control is treated like a frivolous virtue. Why be in control or disciplined when you can indulge in just about anything you want. Between the internet, media, and even our own relationships, everything we could ever want is right at our fingertips, all we have to do is do.
